Yellow Cab gift up for New Year's Eve

The Yellow Cab company says they're ready for the big spike in calls they'll see this weekend.

The manager, Keith Wyckoff says he's brought in extra drivers to help on New Year's Eve night.
The company says they're aus diesem Grund using the latest technology to keep the wait to as little as possible.

Wyckoff adds that due to the fact that so many people will be out, there will be waiting, and you need to have some patience.

"New Year's Eve is an excuse to be out," he explains. "It is a big thing for a lot of people, including us. It's one of our biggest days of the years. It's always in the top ten.

"They need to call," he adds. "They need to be patient if they're in a high volume area - especially once it gets closer to midnight and beyond. Everybody calls at one time - that will overload the system."

Wychoff, along with Baton Rouge Police, say any amount of waiting is cheaper than a DUI.

Yellow Cab is working with the Mockler Family, as they have for years, for free rides home on New Years Eve.
