In the most dominating defensive performance I've seen in a long time, Alabama became the first team in the BCS era to win in a shutout. It wasn't alway.

Everywhere Dana Dowling looks in her home in Tuscaloosa on Monday night, she will see Alabama football. On her television, of course, because as a huge Alabama fan she will watch as the Crimson Tide plays LSU for the national championship.

With the likelihood that Alabama wide receivers once again struggle to get separation against the LSU secondary, it becomes even more important for Alabama's tight ends to get open and make catches. Brad Smelley played the best football of his career
